Aside from composition, Dennis spends much of his time arranging and transcribing music. He has been commended for his excellent attention to detail in terms of both the music and a client's interests. Some examples include:

Know Where You Are – Kenny Wheeler

Dennis transcribed this chart from the album Music for Large and Small Ensembles for a performance with his own jazz orchestra to celebrate the music of Kenny Wheeler at Placebo Space on March 24, 2017. The entirety of this transcription was done from scratch as many of Kenny Wheeler's compositions remain unpublished. Here are two pages from the score of Dennis' transcription. Below is an exerpt of the Kenny Wheeler Big Band performing it:

Dive – Oscar Kempe

Dennis was asked to arrange this tune by singer-songwriter Oscar Kempe from a solo guitar/voice demo to a chamber-folk ensemble for a recording session. The chamber ensemble included the unusual instrumentation of two singers, two guitars, marimba, bass clarinet, and cajón. Oscar was consulted throughout the entire process in order to adhere to the artist's vision. Here is some of the score for Dennis' arrangement. Here is a brief clip of the original demo and the ensemble's studio recording of Dive:

Bolero – Allison Au

The Dennis Kwok Jazz Orchestra performed at Lula Lounge with saxophonist, composer and JUNO Award winner, Allison Au, as their special guest soloist on March 13, 2018. Dennis arranged this composition by Allison Au for big band in order to feature her music expanded to fit the canvas of a large ensemble. Here is a section of the score for Dennis' arrangement.
