Dive - Oscar Kempe
PEI based singer-songwriter, Oscar Kempe, commissioned this arrangement from a solo guitar/voice demo for a recording session. The chamber ensemble included the unusual instrumentation of two singers, two guitars, marimba, bass clarinet, and cajón.
Bolero - Allison Au
Originally appearing on the 2016 JUNO-award winning album “Forest Grove”, this arrangement was done for the Dennis Kwok Jazz Orchestra’s performance with special guest soloist Allison Au on March 13, 2018 at Lula Lounge.
Waiting for Greyhounds - Alec Steinwall
This arrangement appears on the title track of Alec Steinwall’s 2023 album of the same name. The chamber orchestra was overdubbed onto the existing bed tracks. Tracks 6 and 9 from the same album, and tracks 3, 5, 9, 11, and 12 from Alec’s 2022 album “My Wildest Dream” also features my additional arrangements.
Hungry Heart - Bruce Springsteen
This particular arrangement was done for a series of shows for the Dennis Kwok Pop-Bop Band, an ensemble that takes pop and rock songs and reimagines them under the lense of modern jazz. This live recording is from the first show with this ensemble in 2018.
